Company Launches Two-Pronged Initiative Providing Financial and In-Store Assistance to Food Banks Across the Northeast

Waltham, Mass. (November 6, 2025) – As families across the nation face new challenges affording everyday essentials following recent cuts to federal SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, Global Partners (“Global”), a leading independent owner, supplier, and operator of liquid energy terminals, fueling locations, and guest-focused retail experiences, is putting its energy to work for families across the Northeast and Texas. Through a comprehensive new initiative, the company will provide both financial and in-store support at its retail locations to 30 food bank partners in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Texas, and Virginia helping to bridge the gap for Americans affected by the reductions.

“Global has a long history of being part of the communities where we operate,” said Dylan Robinson, Corporate Citizenship Manager at Global Partners. “With this program, we’re leveraging our network of retail sites to make a meaningful, immediate difference for families in need. This program not only helps our neighbors but also strengthens the bonds between our employees, our customers and guests, and our communities.”

Under the new framework, Global will contribute nearly $90,000 in combined support, including $58,000 in direct financial donations and $29,400 in gift cards distributed through its food bank partners. Together, these efforts are expected to help provide more than a quarter million meals to local communities across the company’s retail footprint. The program includes multiyear partnerships with 14 core food bank partners, identified and nominated by team members and regional managers in 2024, as well as 16 perishable food partners connected to the company’s flagship retail brand, Alltown Fresh®, and Honey Farms Markets.

Gift cards will be distributed directly by the food banks to individuals and families most in need. This community-driven, trust-based approach empowers recipients with the flexibility to purchase essential items such as warm meals, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and fuel.

“More families across Eastern Massachusetts are urgently reaching out to GBFB’s network of food pantry partners for help because of cuts to federal programs and the high cost of living,” said O’Neil Outar, Chief Advancement Officer at The Greater Boston Food Bank. “Global is making an immediate impact by providing both financial support and gift cards to help families access the food, fuel, and basic necessities they need most. We’re grateful for Global’s trust-based approach and their dedication to strengthening our communities during a time of growing need.”

This effort is part of Global’s commitment to being a good neighbor, investing in long-term partnerships that strengthen communities and help them grow, move, and thrive.
