Global Partners Named to Fortune’s 2026 List of World’s Most Admired Companies for Third Consecutive Year

Recognized in the Diversified Wholesalers category, recognized for growth and innovation

Waltham, Mass. (January 22, 2026) – Global Partners, a leading independent liquid-energy supplier and retail operator, has once again been named to Fortune Magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies list, earning the No. 6 ranking in the Diversified Wholesalers category. The recognition marks the company’s third consecutive year on the list and reflects consistent performance, disciplined growth, and a continued focus on innovation.

“I’m incredibly proud of our entire Global team for earning this recognition for the third year in a row,” said Eric Slifka, President & CEO of Global Partners LP. “Being named among the world’s most admired companies speaks to how our people show up every day, delivering reliable energy, building strong relationships, and supporting our communities we serve, while thoughtfully navigating the energy transition.”

“Fortune is proud to celebrate the companies on this year’s World’s Most Admired Companies list; they have set the bar for real innovation, resilient leadership, and global impact,” said Alyson Shontell, Fortune’s Editor in Chief and Chief Content Officer. “As rapidly advancing technologies such as AI transform entire industries, these organizations stand out for their ability to evolve with purpose and foresight, consistently shaping the path forward for global business, and the future of how we work and lead.”

Global is one of the largest liquid-energy companies on the East Coast, operating and managing dedicated storage at 55 terminals strategically connected to rail, pipeline, and marine assets, extending from Maine to Florida and into the U.S. Gulf States. The company continues to invest in lower-carbon and renewable fuel solutions while maintaining the reliability and scale customers and communities depend on.

To earn a place on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list, businesses must rank in the top half of an industry survey of corporate executives, board directors, and analysts. Companies are evaluated on a range of attributes, including talent attraction and retention, quality of management, social responsibility, innovation, and excellence in products and services.

“It’s especially meaningful to receive this recognition year after year from our peers,” Slifka added. “This honor reflects the dedication of our teammates across our retail markets, terminals, and offices, who consistently deliver exceptional service and create value for our customers and guests.”

Other companies recognized in the Diversified Wholesalers category include W.W. Grainger, Graybar Electric, WESCO International, and Fastenal.
